You all know the quote..... "Fail to plan, plan to fail". It amazes me how many people haphazardly go through life while claiming the goals they have for themselves are important, yet do not take the needed time to set a solid plan to get there. Take the time. Write out your goals, and set a solid plan. Also add timelines to achieve certain goals to hold yourself accountable. Tape it to your fridge or mirror and stare at it each morning. Execute the plan. You don't have to be overwhelmed by the timeline or dates of the end results. They will come if you act TODAY.
In my running years I would set a goal race date months away. I would write the particular race on a calendar and then go backwards as to what I needed to do in order to accomplish a goal I would be proud of tackling. I would write out each days training needed in reverse to TODAY'S date. It was simple. I just needed to focus on what I needed to do TODAY.
